Although poster paper is
stiffer than regular paper, it's still flexible and easily bends in the
wind. If you are going to carry or hang the poster outside, reinforcing
it will help it withstand transport and exposure to the elements. You
can secure the poster board with several layers of poster paper and glue
to make it sturdier. Reinforce the poster before you write or draw on
it to prevent the ink from coming into contact with the glue.
Instructions
- 4 pieces poster paper, all the same size
- Clear, quick-drying craft glue
-
-
1
Lay a piece of poster paper on a flat surface.
-
2
Apply a thick strip of glue
(about one-quarter of an inch wide) along all four sides of the paper,
about one-half inch from the edge. Be sure to read the directions on the
bottle of clear, quick-drying craft glue to see how long it takes to
dry when applied to poster paper.
-
3
Lay a second piece of poster
paper directly on top of the first one. Press along the edges of the top
piece with your hand to adhere the posters together.
-
4
Leave the poster papers to dry as directed on the glue bottle.
-
5
Apply a strip of glue along each
side of the top piece of paper, the same as you did with the first one.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to apply a third sheet of paper to the poster.
-
6
Repeat Step 5 to glue a fourth (and final) sheet of paper to the other ones.
