Use Fireworks to add an effect that melts your images.
Adobe Fireworks, formerly Macromedia Fireworks, provides you with tools that enable you to add a melting effect to your pictures. When applied to an image, the colors of the graphic are blended to create a liquefied appearance. This enhancement is ideal if you need to create an eye-catching, custom image for websites or printed documents. Apply a melt effect to any pictures you choose to customize.

Instructions

    • 1
Launch Fireworks and click the "Open" option under the File menu to bring up the picture you want to modify. Alternately, click "Import" under the File menu, select an image file in the dialog that opens and then click and drag your mouse to add the graphic to the canvas window.

Click the "Tools" and "Properties" options under the Window menu to make these menus visible. Alternately, press the "Tab" key on your keyboard to display all Fireworks menus.
    • 3
Click the "Smudge Tool" in the Bitmap section of the Tools menu. This action makes the mouse pointer display as a circle.
