How to Fix EVI

,
EVI, which stands for Echoview Index, is a file format used by the hydroacoustic data processing application Echoview. An EVI file contains the index of an echosounder data file, allowing Echoview to instantly read the data stored within them. If Echoview does not read or detect EVI files, you will have to re-associate it with the EVI file extension.

Instructions

    • 1
Click the “Start” button, type “File Extension” (without quotes) and press “Enter.”
    • 2
Select ".EVI" and click "Change Program."
    • 3
Select “Echoview” from the list of applications.
    • 4
Click “OK” to re-associate the EVI file extension with Echoview.
