How to Import OCX to Delphi 2007

The Delphi RAD 2007 Studio provides developers with an import process that assists them to import OCX files. OCX files are ActiveX projects created by Microsoft developers. You can import the OCX file into your Delphi project and reference the embedded libraries. The RAD Studio software automatically includes this OCX file when you distribute your software.


Instructions

    • 1
      Open the Delphi RAD 2007 software on your computer.

      Open the Delphi package you want to import. If you want to import the OCX into a new project, click "File" and then click "New." Click "Package" to create a new package.

      Click the "Component" menu item and select "Import Component." Choose "VCL for Delphi Win32" for the component type and then select "Import a Type Library."

      Choose your OCX file and check the box labeled "Generate component wrappers." Click "Add to project " and click 'Next."

      Click "Finish" to import the OCX file into the project.
