How to Open a CBS File

The .CBS file extension is not a commonly used file extension; it is primarily associated with the Borland Computer Based Training program, but it can also be used in other programs. If you want to open a .CBS file, you must simply open it with the .CBS compatible program on your computer. If you do not have a program that is capable of opening the .CBS file, however, you must download and install one in order to open it.

1. Download and Install the Program

     Open a Web browser and navigate to tailwagsoft.com if you want to download Calendar Builder, borland.com if you want to download a Borland computer training program or cardbox.com if you want to download the Cardbox Client.

     Locate the program that you want to download on the website and click the "Download" link to download the program's installation file on the computer.

     Double-click the installation file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the program.

   Open the File

     Locate the .CBS file on the computer's hard drive and right-click on the file.

     Move your mouse cursor over the "Open With..." option in the context menu that appears.

     Select the "Borland," "Calendar Builder" or "Cardbox Client" program from the list of programs to open the file.
