Merging Projects
- A list of your projects appears in the left pane of the Aperture application window. Control-click the name of a project, click “Import” from the pop-up menu and then click “Project.” A dialog box appears. Click the name of the project you want to merge into the initial project and then click “Import.” All photos and any folders or photo albums you set up are moved into the first project. If you realize that you didn’t want to merge the projects after all, you can put things back the way they were by choosing “Edit” from the Aperture menu and then clicking “Undo.”
Projects in Aperture
- Use a project to organize a large group of photos, such as images related to a specific theme or an activity. You can create folders inside a project to organize the images and you can also make photo albums inside a project. View the images in a photo album by clicking on them or by starting a slide show.
Using Aperture
- You can use Aperture to import photos from a digital camera or cellphone that you plug in to your Mac. You can also import photos from a folder on your computer. Aperture shows you thumbnail images of the pictures that you import. You can organize and browse your images and assign keywords to them to help you organize them. Aperture also enables you to make adjustments to images, such as removing red eye and cropping photos.
Aperture Features
- When you import photos into Aperture, the application can automatically split the photos into individual projects according to the time-stamp information, such as all photos taken each day or week. If your photos have metadata associated with them, Aperture can show you where they were taken on a small map. Aperture has facial recognition to help you identify the same person in multiple photographs. After you organize your images, you can view them as a slideshow or use Aperture to turn them into a photo book that a third-party company can print for you.
