ASD is a file format used by Microsoft Word 2010 to automatically save any changes that you make to a .DOC or .DOCX document. This file serves as a backup in case the document that you are working on crashes unexpectedly. ASD files are normally saved to a special directory within your Windows 7 user account. If you have an ASD file that you would like to view, you can use Microsoft Word 2010 to open it.
