How to Open a GRA File

The GRA filetype is used to generate graphs created with a Microsoft Office application. The graphs are created using Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint’s insert object function. In some cases, a GRA file might not be immediately recognized by your operating system, in which case you need to instruct the computer which application to use. Specifying an application to utilize for opening a GRA file is performed using the Windows context menu.

     Open the folder containing the GRA file you want to open.

     Right-click the GRA file to display the context menu, select “Open With” and click “Choose Default Program.”

     Select “Microsoft PowerPoint,” “Microsoft Word,” or “Microsoft Excel,” depending on which program you want to use to open the GRA file, and click “OK.”
