Create Spider-Man in Adobe Photoshop.
Spider-Man has been drawn and created thousands of times for comic books, movies and toys. If you want to use Adobe Photoshop to create your own Spider-Man, there are several ways to do this. Using a custom brush set, you can create the basic Spider-Man shape and then edit the details to make him look more lifelike. The brushes remove the hassle of creating Spider-Man from scratch and result in a more authentic depiction of the hero. These brushes are better than regular Spider-Man clip art because they provide basic outlines that you can manipulate in multiple ways.

Instructions

    • 1
Download the free Spider-Man brush set from Deviant Art. The brush set includes seven different brushes that depict Spider-Man and his logo. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the "Brushes" file under your installation of Adobe Photoshop.
    • 2
Start a new project in Adobe Photoshop. Select the size of the project you want to create and press "OK."
    • 3
Click on the brush tool. At the top of the screen, select the "Brush" option and click on the small triangle logo. Scroll down and select the "Spider-Man Brush Set" to apply it to your version of Adobe Photoshop.
    • 4
Select the Spider-Man that you want to create. Click on the "New Layer" icon at the bottom of the screen. Label to the new layer "Spider-Man" and press "OK."
    • 5
Click once on the screen to add the Spider-Man brush drawing. This will give you a basic black and white outline drawing of Spider-Man.
    • 6
Use the "Paint Bucket" tool to fill in Spider-Man's costume. His typical colors are red for the patches between the spiderweb design, blue for the larger areas and then silver for the eyes. Use a light gray for the eyes before it is converted to a glossy silver.

Right-click on the layer and select "Blending Options." Click on the "Bevel and Emboss" option. Set the "Contour" to around "70%." Click on the "Texture" and select the "Bubbles." Set the percentage to "9%." This will create the leathery costume look of Spider-Man. Press "OK" to apply the effects.
    • 8
Click on the "Pen" tool. Highlight around one of Spider-Man's eyes. Right-click in the eye and select "Make Selection." Click on the "Gradient Fill" tool. At the top of the screen, select the black and white gradient. Click at the top of the eye and drag it down to the bottom to create the gradient.
    • 9
Go to "Filter," "Sketch" and select the "Chrome" tool. This will add the shiny silver look to his eyes. Repeat this for the second eye.
    • 10
Click on the "Magic Wand" tool. Click on the black edge that forms the web pattern and border around Spider-Man. Go to "Filter," "Sketch" and "Chrome." Drag the "Detail" and "Smoothness" adjustment bars to "9." Press "OK" and the suit is complete.
