When you download or borrow an e-book it comes with a cover graphic included. But you might not like the cover or want to add new information to it. You can change the cover image on an EPUB file, or most other formats of e-books, with an e-book content manager. There are several freeware content managers available that are compatible with the Nook. Using content manager software can also help you keep track of your e-books and organize them so that they're as easy to find and read as a well-organized book case.
Instructions
- 1Download and install an e-book content manager such as Calibre or KooBits. Check the compatibility of your operating system with your content manager; not all software packages are compatible with all operating systems.
- 2Launch the content manager. If you have an e-book collection that is stored on your hard drive, import it to the content manager library. Your software may have an Import Wizard to assist in the import process.
- 3Connect the Nook to your computer. If there are any e-books that are on your Nook but not stored on your computer's hard drive, import them to the content manager's library.
- 4In the content manager, select an e-book whose cover you want to change. Select "Edit Metadata" or "Edit Information" for this book.
- 5Select an image to be the new book cover. Some content managers, such as Calibre, will search the internet for images matching the book's title and author and allow you to download and attach a cover directly. Click OK to confirm your choice.
