- 1Design a circuit board layout with a program such as AutoDesk's AutoCAD, which simplifies electronic schematic drawing. You can start a drawing with a template or custom file. Choose a measurement system then define styles, layers, layouts and other options. Save the file with the .dwt extension in the Template folder.
- 2Choose or create components -- they can be custom-designed with blocks that represent physical items or symbols represent industry components from AutoCAD's vast database of predesigned electronic parts such as capacitors and resistors. Symbols or blocks can be dragged and dropped into the workspace. If you need multiple copies of a symbol or block, right-click and copy-and-paste them.
- 3Develop a strategy for plotting the electronic components on wires after studying various amplifier diagrams. Low noise amplifiers are complex, as any diagram is heavily populated with components -- although many are duplicates. Have a clear understanding of amplification with an emphasis on a high impedance input. Since an amplifier can get hot, a small fan should be part of the design.
