How to Maintain Folders in iPhoto With Picasa

IPhoto, a native Mac application, gives users the ability to store and manage photos from their digital cameras in one central location. Google’s Picasa application can also be used to host and share your photos online with friends and family. Add your photos from iPhoto into Picasa using the application’s “import” feature. Once your photos are imported, Picasa creates an iPhoto Library with read-only access to your photos while maintaining the original photo folder in iPhoto.

     Launch Picasa.

     Click “File” and select “Import from iPhoto.”

     Click “Accept” when prompted if you want to copy the entire iPhoto library into Picasa.
