Autodesk's 3ds Max 2011
provides a suite of 3D modeling, rendering and animation tools for
graphic designers and video producers. The program's use of complex
geometry to simulate 3D effects relies on layers of simple, overlaid
shapes. One foundational building block of 3D rendering is the box --
from it, an artist can construct cubes or more complex polygons. Within
3ds Max, a box is considered a "geometric primitive" generated through
the Create menu.
