How to Get MATLAB to Recognize Toolboxes

To expand the already vast capabilities of the MATLAB technical computing language program, toolboxes can be added to your MATLAB license. Once a new toolbox has been added to your license, however, you must get the program to recognize the toolbox before you can use it. If you want to get MATLAB to recognize your new toolbox, you must reinstall the program using the MATLAB install media that you used during its initial setup

Instructions

    • 1
      Double-click the MATLAB installation file or insert the MATLAB installation disc into the computer's optical drive to launch the installer.

      Enter your MATLAB Personal License Password when prompted by the installer.

      Click the "Browse" button if prompted to provide a license file. Click the MATLAB installation directory, followed by the "bin" folder. Click the "win" folder and double-click the "license.dat" file to select the license file.

      Select the "Custom" installation option when prompted. Select the new toolboxes that you want MATLAB to recognize and follow the onscreen instructions to finish the installation. Once MATLAB is finished installing, it will recognize the new toolboxes.
