How to Import Colors on Scribusthumbnail
Import colors from a file or enter their color combinations.
Scribus includes its own basic color sets but can also import other colors. Scribus supports colors in cyan, magenta, yellow and black or red, green and blue format. You can can import colors from EPS or other color-information files provided by professional publishing companies. If you have a swatch book containing the codes for the colors you want to import, you can also import colors by specifying their values in the colors 






Instructions

  1. From a File

    • 1
      Close the current image by clicking the “File” menu in Scribus and clicking “Close” if you want to save the color set in Scribus. Leave the current image open if you want to import the colors into the current image.

      Click the “Edit” menu and select “Colors.”

      Click the “Import” button, browse to an EPS file or another file type that contains color information on your computer, and double-click it. The colors appear in the Colors window.

      Click the “Save Color Set” button and type a name for the color set to save it in Scribus. Close the Colors window, click the “Edit” menu, click “Replace Colors” and use the "Replace Colors" dialog if you want to replace the colors in the current image with your imported colors. Click the “Add” button to select a color from the image and a color from your imported colors to replace it.

      Close the current image by clicking “Close” in the file menu if you want to save your imported colors in Scribus or leave the current image open if you want to import colors into it.

      Click the “Edit” menu and select “Colors.”

      Click the “New” button to add a new color.

      Type the color’s name into the “Name” box.

      Click and drag the sliders or type a percentage value into the boxes to adjust the amount of cyan, magenta, yellow and black in the color. You can also click the “Color Model” box and select “RGB” if you’re using RGB colors instead of CMYK colors.

      Click “OK” to add the color. Repeat this process to add additional colors to the Colors window.

      Click the “Save Color Set” button to save the color set in Scribus or close the colors window, click the “Edit” menu and select “Replace Colors” to replace the colors in the current image with your imported colors.
