You can bind a book using brass
fasteners. Brass fasteners hold the book firmly together, while giving
you the option to remove them if you’d like to add more pages, take
pages away or rearrange the pages. Brass fasteners make it easy to bind a
book quickly, whether it’s a book you’re making for yourself, something
to sell or something to be given as a gift. Once you’re done creating
the pages of your book, you’re ready to begin binding it.

1
Punch holes in the pages using a hole punch. For full-size paper, such as 8 ½-by-11-inch sheets of computer paper, use a three-hole punch as this has set positions for the holes, reducing the likelihood of hole-punch spacing errors.
-
2
Slide a brass fastener into the top hole, sticking the two long pieces into the hole, and resting the head of the brass fastener on top of the hole.
-
3
Spread the wings of the brass fastener flat against the back of the book.
-
4
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for each hole, fitting a brass fastener into each hole.
