the date of publication, Etsy includes more than 10 million members and
lists approximately 10 million items. Your business can benefit from
displaying your banner as a marketing tool. You can create an electronic
banner with Adobe’s Photoshop Elements and customize it with colors,
fonts and images that communicate your product and service.

Open the Photoshop Elements 9 welcome page. Click the “Edit” button.

Click “File” to open a menu. Click “New.” Click “Blank File.” The “New” dialog window appears.

Type a file name in the “Name” text box.

Type the values “760” for “Width,” “100” for “Height” and “150” for “Resolution.” Select “RGB Color” for “Color Mode.”

Click “OK.” A white rectangle appears on the workspace.

Click the “Layer” menu. Click “New Fill Layer.” Click “Solid Color.” A “New Layer” dialog window opens.

Click the “Normal” mode. Select “100%” Opacity. Leave the check box unchecked for “Use Previous Layer to Create Clipping Mask.”

Click “OK.” The “New Layer” dialog box closes. The “Pick a solid color” dialog box opens with a color image.

Click the chart for the preferred color. Click “OK.”

Click the “Horizontal Type Tool”
button on the Toolbox. Select the font style, font size and other
characteristics from the menu bar.

Type the text in the banner space.

Click “File” menu. Click “Open.”
Click the image file. The image thumbnail appears in the “Project Bin.”
This image is a new layer.

Click and drag the image to the banner.

Click the “Move Tool” button on the Toolbox. Click and drag the inserted image to position the image in the banner.

Click “File.” Click “Save for Web.”

Click “OK.” The “Save Optimized As” dialog window opens.

Type a file name in the “File name” text box.
