How to Make a Business Flyer Using My Photos & Photo Paper

,
Well-designed fliers give potential customers the highlights about a product, such as a food item, or a service, such as a those provided by real estate agents. You can use your own photographs and basic desktop publishing software to create fliers that promote your business cheaply without paying for the cost-prohibitive services of professional photographers and graphic designers. Generally speaking, business flier photographs should be taken with a high-quality digital camera with the subject in focus.

Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • Color printer cartridges
  • Photo paper
  • Copy paper
    • 1
Download the photographs into the photo processing software native to your computer, which varies by brand. Attach your camera to your computer with the provided USB cord. Alternatively, you can eject the camera's memory card and insert it into your computer, depending on the model. Select the best photographs for your flier.
    • 2
Print one photograph to test your printer's ink quality. Change the printer cartridge as needed. Insert the photo paper into the printer and select a photograph size to match the photo paper size. Print as many photographs as the fliers you plan to produce.
    • 3
Design your flier in a desktop publishing or word processing program. Type your flier's lead copy in large letters at the top of the page. Leave enough space to attach one or more photographs, depending on how many photos you plan to add to your flier. Type your closing copy at the bottom of the flier. Print fliers on your desired paper color and size: letter or legal.
    • 4
Center the photograph, or photographs, on the flier and attach them with a glue stick, spray adhesive for paper or tape. Unlike wet glue, glue sticks and spray adhesives generally do not warp paper. Alternatively, you can create one flier with original photographs, and make black and white or color photocopies to distribute.
