How to Open a .FF File

FF, which stands for Fast File, is a file format used by the video games “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.” FF files contain the data required to run the single-player and multiplayer levels in these games. If you want to view the contents inside an FF file, you must use an application called FF Viewer or a similar one called ff viewer. You can get either of these applications from The Tech Game, an online-gaming fan community, after registering for a free account.

     Launch a Web browser and navigate to to The Tech Game at thetechgame.com. Click the "Register" link on the upper right-side of the website.

     Enter a username, an email address and a password in to the appropriate fields. Next, answer the spam-check question and click "Register."

     Go to your email account and open the email from noreply@thetechgame.com. Click the link in the body of the email message to activate your account.

     Click the "Download" tab on the top of The Tech Game website. Type "FF Viewer" into the search box and click "Search." Next, click the search results labeled ".ff Viewer" or "FF Viewer." Answer the spam check question and click "Download" to download the FF viewing program of your choice.

     Right-click the downloaded archive file and click "Extract All." Next, double-click the .exe file inside the extracted folder to open FF Viewer or ff viewer, depending on which one you chose.

     Click “File” and then select “Open Fast File.”
