How to Open a HyperTerminal File

HyperTerminal is an older application included with the Windows XP system. The product was discontinued with the release of Windows Vista, but you can create a HyperTerminal application in Windows 7 using the Windows XP files. You must have a Windows XP computer to open the HyperTerminal file and run the script. You can use the Windows XP file system to open and run the HyperTerminal file.

     Click the Windows XP "Start" button and click "Run."

     Type "Hypertrm.exe" and press "Enter" to open the app.

     Click the "File" menu item in HyperTerminal software and click "Open."

     Double-click the file you want to open to load it into HyperTerminal.

     Click "Run" to run the script. The commands will run on your system and execute the statements.
