HyperTerminal is an older application included with the Windows XP system. The product was discontinued with the release of Windows Vista, but you can create a HyperTerminal application in Windows 7 using the Windows XP files. You must have a Windows XP computer to open the HyperTerminal file and run the script. You can use the Windows XP file system to open and run the HyperTerminal file.

- Windows XP computer or installation CD
- 1Click the Windows XP "Start" button and click "Run."
- 2Type "Hypertrm.exe" and press "Enter" to open the app.
- 3Click the "File" menu item in HyperTerminal software and click "Open."
- 4Double-click the file you want to open to load it into HyperTerminal.
- 5Click "Run" to run the script. The commands will run on your system and execute the statements.
