The “.tnf” file extension is associated with Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format files. If you receive an encoded TNF email file from a sender who uses Microsoft Outlook, your email client will not be able to open and display the file without help from a third-party application. Winmail Opener is a free utility that can be used to open and view the contents of a TNF message, including images and attachments.

- 1Download Winmail Opener from the EOLSoft website and install the application on your computer.
- 2Double-click the Winmail Opener icon on your desktop once the software has been installed.
- 3Click “File” and “Open.”
- 4Select a file with the “.tnf” extension from the Browse window and click “Open” to view the file.
