How to Open an XSLT File

You can view XSLT files using the Notepad program included with your Windows 7 installation. An XSLT file is typically associated with an XML file, and contains information that allows that XML file to be translated to an HTML or document format. Notepad is a versatile program that can open most document files that you may encounter, and can even be used to make edits to the information contained within the file.

     Browse to the location of the XSLT file on your computer.

     Right-click the file to bring up the shortcut menu.

     Click "Open With," then click "Notepad."
