Photobucket is a photo-sharing site that lets you upload and share your digital photos in creative ways. You can order prints, enlargements and photo gifts, and you can share pictures in various ways. But one of the most exciting options is to create a slideshow with your photos. Photobucket offers many styles of slideshows. One of the styles is a sideways scrolling image box.
Photobucket Tools
- Photobucket has several types of tools: Creation Tools, Uploading Tools, Management Tools, and Mobile Tools. The Creation Tools are the tools you can use to make things with your photos that you can share with friends. The Creation Tools include Photo Products, such as prints and photo gifts, an Image Editor that helps you improve your photos, add effects, apply shapes and give your photos captions. Album Themes are skins that change the look of your album. And the "Slideshows" section offers you many ways to group your photos into animated slideshows.
Slideshow Styles
- There are three steps to creating a slideshow on Photobucket. First, add images, either from your Photobucket albums or from your computer. Second, select a style from one of the many styles of slideshow available on Photobucket. Third, save your slideshow. There are lots of great slideshow styles, but the one that looks like an image scroll box in which the photos slide sideways is called "Strip." After selecting "Strip," you will have made an image scroll box with Photobucket that you can share with others.
Sharing Options
- After creating a slideshow on Photobucket, you can share it on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Blogger, LiveJournal and other social websites. You can also share it using email and you can get a link code that you can embed in any website that allows you to input HTML code. You can do this right after your create your slideshow or later by visiting your Photobucket site.
Other Photobucket Tools
- In addition to the Creation Tools, Photobucket has other tools that are useful if you take digital photos. The Uploading Tools include the Bulk Uploader that lets you upload lots of photos quickly, the Webcam Uploader that helps you upload a video taken with your webcam, plugins for iPhoto and Firefox that make it easy to use Photobucket with iPhoto and the Firefox Web browser, and an FTP option that is available for Pro users only. There is also an Organizer tool and a Stats viewer that help you manage your online photo collection. And if you have a smartphone or a tablet, there is a mobile website and apps for the iPhone, Android phones and BlackBerry devices in the "Mobile Tools" section.
