How to Fix My Samsung Instinct That Was Flashed to a Cricket and the Picture Messaging Doesn't Work

,

The Samsung Instinct is an Android-powered smart phone that allows you to send text-based SMS messages and image-based MMS messages to other cell phone users. Since the device is designed to be used with Sprint's wireless network, however, if the device is flashed to another wireless network, some of its features, including the MMS picture messaging feature, may cease to function. If you have a Samsung Instinct that was flashed to the Cricket wireless network and you want to restore the device's original MMS functionality, you can do so by resetting the device to its factory default settings.

Instructions

    • 1
Press the "Home" button and tap the "Menu" button.
    • 2
Tap the "Settings" option, followed by the "Reset" option.
    • 3
Tap the "Reset Phone" option and read the disclaimer that appears.
    • 4
Write down the lock code at the end of the disclaimer and tap the "Proceed" option to continue.
    • 5
Enter the lock code you wrote down in step four in the space provided and tap the "Done" option to reset the phone to its factory default settings. The phone will now be reflashed to Sprint's wireless network and its MMS feature will be restored.
