How to Open a .Cl2 File

Cl2 files are created by HY-TEK Sports software to store information on sporting events, such as competition results. Furthermore, cl2 files can store competitors' names and their scores. This format is basically a plain text format and has been replaced by the HYV file format. Although HY-TEK Sports software is able to open cl2 files, the basic edition costs $239.25 at time of publication. Taking this price into consideration, you should consider another way to open cl2 files.

     Locate the cl2 file and right-click on it.

     Select "Open" from the resulting drop-down menu, tick "Select a program from a list of installed programs" and click "OK." You will see a list of all installed programs and will need to select one that is able to open the cl2 file.

     Select WordPad from the list, tick "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and click "OK" to open the file in WordPad. You will see the contents of the file.

     Go to File and select "Page setup" to change the way the contents are displayed. The content was created to be viewed in landscape mode.

     Select "A2" from the Size box and tick "Landscape" in the Orientation section.

     Click "OK" to apply the changes. You will notice the contents of the cl2 file are not properly aligned.
