V1 files can be opened using an Apple II, the first mass-produced Apple computer. Released in 1977 and in production in various forms until 1993, the Apple II originally accepted media stored on audio cassettes and 5.25-inch floppy disks. Later Apple II models were available with 3.5-inch floppy drives. If you have V1 files, you need an Apple II or Apple II emulator to open the file. There is an active Apple II enthusiast community; you should be able to locate a functional Apple II computer for purchase or use if you do not own one.
Instructions
- 1Connect the floppy disk drive to your Apple II. Boot the computer.
- 2Insert the disk with the V1 into the drive.
