Creating text in Photoshop is desirable because of its extensive editing capabilities. Fortunately, Adobe makes it possible to move files between its suite of programs, including Photoshop and After Effects. You can import your Photoshop file containing text, and make it editable in After Effects. After Effects will retain the layer styles you applied to your text in Photoshop. Therefore, effects such as a “Drop Shadow” or “Bevel and Emboss” will not be lost in the transition.
