How to Open an ADL File

An .ADL file is a backup file for the BOC Group's ADONIS program. The program helps companies track business process management systems. To open an .ADL file, you need to install ADONIS. A free version of the program is available for download from the company's website.

     Go to Boc-group.com and register for an account. You need to enter your email address and personal details. Check your email for a confirmation message. Click the link in the message to finish registering.

     Download ADONIS Community Edition 2. Save the .ZIP file to your desktop.

     Right-click the .ZIP file and select "Extract."

     Double-click the extracted ADONIS folder and double-click "Setup.exe" to install ADONIS. If prompted, enter a password for a database administrator.

     Double-click the .ADL file to open it in ADONIS.
