How to Open a .Pln File

ArchiCAD is a commercial computer-aided design application developed by Graphisoft. Like most other CAD applications, ArchiCAD allows its users to create 3-D models. While ArchiCAD can export 3-D models in a variety of formats, the program saves them, by default, in a proprietary file format known as PLN. You can import PLN files into ArchiCAD by following a specific procedure.

     Launch ArchiCAD by clicking on the application's shortcut in the "Start" menu.

     Click on "File" and select "Open."

     Select the PLN file by using the file browser. Click on the "Open" button to load the model into ArchiCAD.
